The 7th International Forum on the e-APP (electronic Apostille Program)
14 – 15 Haziran 2012 – İZMİR
The 7th International Forum on the e-APP (electronic Apostille Program) will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey and organised in collaboration with the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference. It will take place at Yaşar University Izmir and will be co-hosted by the IT Law Institute of the Istanbul Bilgi University, the Internet Board of Turkey and the Information and Communication Technologies Authority of Turkey.
The event will build on the success of previous fora, as well as the e-APP for Europe project. It will provide an international venue for the exchange of information on the latest developments of the e-APP worldwide, the achievements made thus far and to reflect on the future of the e-APP. The meeting will also discuss the plans for the implementation of the e-APP in Turkey. The Izmir Forum will thus provide an excellent opportunity to assess the advantages of the e-APP and to learn from the experience of the growing number of jurisdictions that have implemented or are planning to implement either or both components of the e-APP.
The working languages of the Forum will be English and Turkish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in these two languages.
While participation in the Forum is free of charge, registration using the official Forum Registration Form provided on this website is required. Participants are also required to book their accommodation on their own and to cover their travel and accommodation costs.
An excursion will be organised on Saturday 16 June 2012 as part of the social events of the Forum. Separate registration on this website is required for the excursion.
The organisers are in the process of securing financial support for the Izmir Forum from major Turkish IT companies. The results of these talks will be announced on this website at a later stage.
